How did we get our name?

Espero is the Esperanto word for Hope.

Back in 1887, Dr. L.L. Zamenhof conceived an idea to better international relations and connections.

His idea was to unite the world through a common second language that could be spoken universally to elliminate language barriers.

He would call this auxillary language, Esperanto (meaning One Who Hopes in the language itself).

It was believed that world peace could be achieved if we all understood each other.

This philosophy is deeply rooted in our company. Just as Esperanto aspires to change the world through language, we aspire to change the way the world views and uses cosmetics.

    We believe that skin care products are unnecessarily marketed toward specific genders. We use gender-neutral language and craft formulas that work for everyone.

    We make sure our customers are informed about what they put on their bodies. We post links to the studies we use to determine the efficacy of each ingredient, as well as offer complete ingredient breakdowns for each of our formulas.

  • Inclusive

    Our advertisements, media, and promotions will always showcase real people, regardless of skin type, body type, gender, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, race, age, national origin, or disability.

Spread Inclusion

Challenge the status quo that beauty products are for women only. We believe that cosmetics do not need to be unnecessarily gendered. We will not develop a product that targets, or is marketed towards, any specific gender. Everyone deserves to look and feel however they would like to; there is no judgement here.

Improve Transparency

We will openly provide a comprehensive list of ingredients for each formula, even in circumstances where we are not required to do so. Access to quality information on each ingredient and it's purpose are available for every ingredient and compound we use. We believe the public has a right to know and understand exactly what is they are buying and using.
